Learning Slider Down aerials is not to be taken lightly. We have a maximum of 4 seconds to exit, complete our trick, and deploy our canopy. With that in mind it’s extremely important that you are proficient, and confident, with all the basics before you think about adding rotations.
The path to learning aerials is going to look different for everyone, the main deciding factor being your background.
If you spent your childhood flipping into pools, jumping on trampolines, or had the privilege of doing any kind of formal gymnastics training then your progression is going to be a lot smoother than if you didn’t do any of those things.
Regardless of your background your journey into aerials begins before you put a rig on.
As with all my trainings I tailor things to each individual but generally the way this works is: you contact me and we have a chat about what you’d like to learn. I’ll send you a list of drills to start practicing on a trampoline, or into a foam pit, and have you send me videos for review.
When we both feel like you’re ready you come out to the bridge and we’ll do some live coaching.
