Who This Course Is For
This course is for jumpers who already have a foundation in the basics and are ready to make the transition into more technical slider-down object work.
That means having:
consistent exits
a working understanding of different deployment methods
the ability to land accurately and reliably
Once those pieces are in place, the focus shifts from basic survival to developing a deeper level of control.
Building & Earth Preparation
When you progress to solid objects, the margin shrinks.
Buildings and Earth objects demand precision. The stakes increase immediately. An off-heading opening can put you on a direct line back into the object you just left.
You cannot eliminate that possibility.
You can only prepare for it.
Becoming One With Your Canopy
A major part of this course is learning how to build a canopy setup that works with you.
We start by customizing your toggle settings to improve responsiveness, make it easier to sink the canopy when needed, and increase the power of the flare. The end result is more accurate and softer landings.
We also customize your brake settings, which control the speed of the canopy on deployment. Slower forward speed on opening means more time to react if you have an off-heading.
These changes are subtle, technical, and highly individual — but when done correctly, they can make a significant difference.
Building Control
Once the canopy is configured properly, we begin building the skills to use it most effectively.
We work through off-heading drills using different control inputs to turn the canopy, and create more effective evasion responses.
This is where preparation becomes practical.
It is not enough to understand the theory. You need to feel the inputs, repeat the actions, and develop reactions that hold up under pressure.
When we bring all of these elements together — canopy configuration, landing performance, evasion drills, and mental preparation — the result is more control.
And in this environment, control is everything.
The Goal
Stack the odds in your favor.
Build better habits.
Improve your canopy control.
Refine your reactions.
Make your landings better.
Make your decisions sharper.
Make you more prepared when the margin gets small.
That is what B.E. Prepared is about.
