What You’ll Develop in This Course

Over five structured days at Monte Brento, we build the essential skills for safe terminal and big-wall flying:

  • Delay Awareness & Airspeed Control — Learn to feel and manage increasing speed with precision.

  • Tracking Efficiency & Separation — Master efficient tracks and safe separation in higher-performance environments.

  • Start Angles & Body Mechanics — Refine exits and freefall body position for consistency.

  • Deployment Timing & Situational Awareness — Improve timing and awareness when variables compound quickly.

  • Conservative Decision-Making — Develop the judgment needed to say “no” when conditions or performance aren’t right.

Day one establishes your baseline. Subsequent days adapt to your progress and decision-making. If weather interrupts, you’ll have the option to extend by 1–2 days at no extra cost.

Terminal BASE is earned through control and foresight — not by chasing longer delays. This advanced BASE training at Monte Brento gives you the tools and mindset to progress responsibly.

Terminal BASE is not about falling longer.

It’s about thinking further ahead.

Higher delay introduces new variables — speed, separation, body mechanics, tracking precision, deployment timing. Small inefficiencies compound quickly.

This course is designed to introduce experienced BASE jumpers to terminal environments deliberately — not impulsively.

We use Monte Brento as a structured environment to build control, not chase numbers.

What to Expect

The course will be 5 days of jumping.

The day before we start there will be a 3 hour briefing where we will cover in depth:

  • Off-site and on-site evaluation

  • Watch videos of previous student exits

  • Discuss malfunction protocols

  • Outline a safe progression

Daily Schedule

All jumps take place from the main exit at Monte Brento, Italy.

The site operates on a structured load system similar to a dropzone. I will handle all manifesting.

Each load costs €25 to the top (20min hike) or €15 to San Giovani (60min hike) - This is paid in cash to the driver.

Typical day:

• Early morning loads (as early as 5:30am)
• Two morning jumps
• Optional afternoon load depending on weather

Each load requires:

• 1-hour drive up
• 30-minute hike
• 10–15 minutes to gear up
• 10–15 minutes to exit

Expect roughly two hours per load.

Students can hope to make 10-15 jumps during the 5 days.

Accommodation

I recommend Camping Daino (close to landing area, multiple budget options, early morning friendly).

If you’d prefer to stay elsewhere that’s totally fine but map out how far you’re going to have to drive in the mornings.

Below is Bar Parete Zebrata which is a coffee shop next to the Landing and Packing area. This is where we will meet every morning.
